I have been looking at art journals for a while now and wasn't sure at first. I didn't think I would have anything to go into it, I can't draw that well and I wasn't sure if it was for me. Then I kept looking at the pages that the very talented
Shari Carroll was doing, she combines paint, texture paste, embossing, stamping, pattern papers, doodles and stickers, all the things I love, to produce these great works of art. She has inspired me to stop blog stalking and to give it a go, so here is my first attempt.
I decided that instead of working in a pre-bound book I would use flat sheets of A4 folded in half, I can back to back bind them when I have done a few and make my own covers. I find it easier to work on flat sheets, my Smash Book taught me that as I am a bit messy and get other fresh pages all mucky, this way I can hide the mess on the back with the next spread.
Thanks for looking, Lorry :o) xx
Good for you! I keep thinking about it, and that's as far as I've got!
