Thanks for stopping by, Lorry :o) xx

LCC #82 – Clean and Simple

This fortnights challenge over at Let's Craft and Create #82 is Clean and Simple. I thought I would make another Christmas card to try and keep up. The simple design, three triangles of pattern paper and trunks drawn on with a fine liner, means that I should be able to whip up quite a few in a relatively short space of time plus I use up my scraps of paper, double bonus.

Thanks for looking, Lorry :o) xx

Stamps: Many Merry Messages from Stampin' Up!

I used a stamp set that my husband got me last year from Muji. The stamps are cute little snowflakes set on little wooden dowel rods all in an even cuter wooden box. Not used them before but I think they will be making many an outing for this years xmas cards.

Thanks for looking, Lorry :o) xx

LCC #80 – Ink Technique

The subject for this fortnights Let's Craft and Create challenge is ink technique. I decided to go for ink blending with drops of water splashed onto it for a bit of interest and texture. The purple version didn't turn out quite how I wanted, the colours are a little muddy and grey, I am  much happier with the pink version. The inspiration for the layout comes from Kristina Werner (love her stuff),  thanks Kristina.

Come and join us here for the challenge and check out what the rest of the talented design team have come up with.

LCC #79 Colour Me Happy

The theme for this fortnights challenge over at Let's Craft and Create is Colour Me Happy. I started by choosing a happy background paper, I love these colours together, yellow and orange always seem to be happy, to me anyway. Then I used a tag as my focal point so it wouldn't fight with the patterned paper, just to add a bit more happy I added a couple of butterflies.

Over at Let's Create and Craft this fortnights challenge is Black and White which was the perfect excuse to ink up the lovely Fancy Feathers stamp set and dies from Clearly Besotted. I just couldn't resist adding a little red heart, I know it isn't strictly black and white now but I hope I am forgiven as the card just needed a little something.

A couple of tags

I have never used tags on my cards before so when it was the theme of one of the LCC challenges I had to give it a go. I am pretty please with the way they have turned out, even if I do say so myself!

I made a male and female version using the same layout just changing up the colours and main image, taking inspiration from the His & Hers card class. I am gonna try and do this a bit more as it is a great way to have a stock of those tricky blokie cards.

Thanks for looking, Lorry :o) xx

LCC #75 Fancy Edges

Here is my card for the Let's Craft and Create Challenge #75 – Fancy Edges, come and join us for a chance to win some American Crafts Velvet Ric Rac in some great colours.

I got the inspiration for this card from Kristina Warner, I love her video tutorials and all here tips and tricks she shares. She has great handwriting and has a mini class on how to improve your own writing, so I thought I would give it a try for the sentiment on this card. It's not too bad but I think I could do with a little more practice.
