I gave the letter and sentiment die cuts a bit more stability by cutting them a few times from white card, sticking them on top of each other then adding the colour cut out on top. I have seen this done quite a few times on some card vids but not tried it yet, worth a go and I am definately gonna be doing this again, it adds just enough diamention without all the fiddly foam pads.
Thanks for Looking, Lorry :o) xx

This is stunning Lorraine! I love the 'make a stack of die cuts' technique too and it looks really effective here especially with the cursive font below. Vicky x

Thanks for the tip about layering the word die, I agree they can be too flimsy, I'll give this a try. Aside from that, your card is gorgeous, love the large sentiment and the embossing. The 3D flowers set it all off beautifully. Thanks for playing along at 52 CCT

OH wow! I think is is gorgeous. Love the bold die cut words and the pretty little poinsettia. Thanks so much for playing along with 52CCT this week!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely fantastic card! I love everything about it - the clean styling, the snowflakes, the die-cut sentiment, the colors, and especially that you used such a pretty non-Christmasy floral image to pull this all off so wonderfully! I'm so glad you shared this in our March stash challenge at 52{C}CT, and I hope you'll join us again soon for another challenge! :)
