52 CCT – Paper Flowers

I have another challenge entry, a Christmas card this time, it's for the 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown – Paper Flowers.

I gave the letter and sentiment die cuts a bit more stability by cutting them a few times from white card, sticking them on top of each other then adding the colour cut out on top. I have seen this done quite a few times on some card vids but not tried it yet, worth a go and I am definately gonna be doing this again, it adds just enough diamention without all the fiddly foam pads.

Thanks for Looking, Lorry :o) xx

Stamps: Petite Petals from Stampin' Up!
Dies: By The Letter from Die-namics and Christmas Script from Memory Box.
Embossing Folder: The Snowman – Snowflakes.
Embellishments: Flat Backed Gems from Hobby Craft.

  1. This is stunning Lorraine! I love the 'make a stack of die cuts' technique too and it looks really effective here especially with the cursive font below. Vicky x

  2. What a stunning card Lorry, such a fresh and modern look, fab colours too! I love the way you stacked the word die cuts for dimension and I adore the rhinestone dot over the i - a sweet and perfect accent! Thanks so much for joining us at 52 {C}CT, I hope you'll play along with us again soon! Ruth x

  3. Gorgeous - absolutely gorgeous. You've inspired me to try the stacked lettering technique. LOVE that scrolly Christmas and those flowers. Thanks so much for joining us this week at 52CCT!

  4. I absolutely ADORE the graphic clean feel of this card! The bold sentiment is amazing and the flowers are placed perfectly! LOVE! Thanks for joining us at 52CCT! :) HUGS and have a great rest of your week! Mynn xx

  5. Clean, crisp and utterly elegant! LOVE this card, Lorraine! Great job, Thanks for joining the March Stash challenge at 52 {C}CT.

  6. Thanks for the tip about layering the word die, I agree they can be too flimsy, I'll give this a try. Aside from that, your card is gorgeous, love the large sentiment and the embossing. The 3D flowers set it all off beautifully. Thanks for playing along at 52 CCT

  7. OH wow! I think is is gorgeous. Love the bold die cut words and the pretty little poinsettia. Thanks so much for playing along with 52CCT this week!

  8. Absolutely fantastic card! I love everything about it - the clean styling, the snowflakes, the die-cut sentiment, the colors, and especially that you used such a pretty non-Christmasy floral image to pull this all off so wonderfully! I'm so glad you shared this in our March stash challenge at 52{C}CT, and I hope you'll join us again soon for another challenge! :)

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment, it means a lot to me.
