Hi There,
I'm back again with another challenge over at House of Cards, this month the challenge is to create a card with a bokeh effect. Each week throughout the month there will be inspiration from different members of the design team.
For my card I went with a block of pattern paper from the Simon Says Stamp November card kit and then I stamped some circles on it with some white pigment ink to give the bokeh effect, a sentiment and a couple of fancy underlines and job done.
Thanks for looking, Lorry :o) xx

CASE-ing Christmas #17
Hi There
It is time for another challenge over at CASE-ing Christmas and this time the inspiration comes from the lovely Cohenna.
For my card I have used the main layout as well as sticking with the colour theme of green and red. I made the sentiment the main feature as I didn't have a suitable image, I added some flowers and leaves and job done, oh and not forgetting a bit of bling.
I normally have real trouble getting stamp and die sets lined up exactly how I want them, the OCD in me comes out and I end up throwing most of what I do away as they are not up to scratch, this time I used my new toy, the MISTI (Most Incredible Stamping Tool Invented) and it was a doddle, I even made enough leaves for 2 cards!
Thanks for looking and don't forget to enter this weeks challenge.

CASE-ing Christmas Challenge #15
Hi There
Its challenge time again over at CASE-ing Christmas. This time the inspiration comes from the talented Ellen.
For my card I decided to dig out some pattern papers that I have had for a while and not quite known what to do with as they are not the usual Christmas colour pallet. I stuck to the main layout of Ellen's card but turned it 90° so the oval would fit my sentiment. As the pattern paper was rather busy I toned it down with a double thickness of tracing paper. The main oval is popped up with some fun foam, a tip I saw used by the very talented Jennifer McGuire, saves on all those little foam square, thanks!

House of Cards – April Challenge
Hi There
I'm back today with another House of Cards challenge, this month it's a colour combo plus you can add a butterfly if you fancy.
I decided to go for it and do both as I haven't used a butterfly for a while. I used a mid blue a little more dusky than the turquoise in the pic as I wanted the butterfly to really pop. The sentiment and the leaf die are both from Clearly Besotted and the butterfly is from Memory Box, I cut it from white and coloured it up with ink daubers and distress inks. A classic combo of dots and stripes for the pattern papers and job done!

CASE-ing Christmas #13
Hi There
I am back with another great challenge over at CASE-ing Christmas. This week the inspiration comes from the talented Judy.
The main inspiration came from the colour scheme – the blues and aquas, I also kept the 3 blocks of paper in the background, I added a snowflake, some ribbon and a bit of bling and the card is done!
Thanks for looking,
Lorry :o) xx

CASE-ing Christmas #11
Hi There
I am back with another great challenge over at CASE-ing Christmas. This week the inspiration comes from the talented Anita.
I have taken the main layout of Anita's card and turned it on it's side. I just had to use Lawn Fawn's Into the Woods stamp set again so I coloured the cute deer with my Letraset Flexmarkers then I used their Snow Day pattern papers to finish the card off.
Thanks for looking,

CASE-ing Christmas #9 Challenge
Hi There
First an apology for being late posing this entry, we have all had the lergie this week and my youngest has had a high temperature and nights terrors so I have fallen a bit behind with, well everything!!
This week at CASE-ing Christmas we are CASE-ing the talented DarenY's card. I have gone with the layout and rotated it. for the sentiment I used a cut apart sheet from Teresa Collins, as I don't have many Christmas pics to scrapbook I thought I would put this paper to good use on a card. I added some washi tape and a border strip from another piece of Teresa Collins paper and job done!
Thanks for looking, Lorry :o) xx

Two Card Tuesday #1
Hi There
I have decided to set myself some challenges so I make more cards and blog more. Not sure if it will work, life normally gets in the way of best made plans but, here goes!
To start off I thought I would do a Two Card Tuesday. For this I set myself the challenge to make 2 cards, one for a girlie and one for a blokie, but use the same sketch, just change up the colour combo, pattern papers etc. I should have a stash of 'hard to make for blokie' cards in no time!?!
Thanks for looking

House of Cards February Challenge – Love
Hi There
I'm back with another challenge over at House of Card. The theme this month is Love .
For this card I used a stamp set I got a few months ago which came free with the magazine Get Stamping. I was drawn to the retro tattoo style of the wings on the heart and thought it would look good as a pic in a frame, the background was clear embossed to make the aqua card stock look like flock wallpaper to keep it retro.

CASE-ing Christmas Challenge #5 + Blog Candy!
Hi There
Back again for Challenge #5 over at CASE-ing Christmas. This week the inspiration comes for the Lovely Mynn.
I have gone with the layout for my card but chosen a completely different colour combo. I used the cute papers from Lawn Fawn's Snow Days, one of the pieces has a scene with some sweet bunnies on so all I had to do was cut around them and the main feature was sorted. I used some tracing paper to tone down the busy holly backing paper as well as to punch out some snowflakes, just added some twine and done!

Hi There
I am back for CASE-ing Christmas Challenge #4 where there is some fab Blog Candy still up for grabs to win.
This week the inspiration comes from the talented Rocky. I have stuck with the purple but decided to flip the layout to make a portrait version. I made the 3 shapes into windows for the cute critters from Lawn Fawn to pop their heads out of, add a sprinkle of sequins and snowflakes and done!

CASE-ing Christmas Challenge #2 + Blog Candy!
Hi There
I have more great news, I have been accepted onto another design team, Yah!
CASE-ing Christmas is a challenge blog that helps us get ready for the Xmas rush, by making a card a week while taking inspiration from a previously made card by one of our design team we should have enough cards in no time.
Challenge week #2 inspiration comes from the very talented Pat. For my version I kept to the purple colour scheme, which was handy as I have just received my January Simon Says Stamp card kit and the papers included were from Bo Bunny and Purple, result! I also kept to the same layout but swapped the metallic flower for a shiny snowflake.
Thanks for looking, Lorry :o) xx
